Alfred (Al) Lacazette
Al Lacazette is Director, Geology for Geothermal Technologies, Inc. (GTI; https://geothermal.tech/). GTI is developing advanced technology to generate utility-scale electricity from the earth's heat. Additionally, he is available as a geoscience consultant through his company NaturalFractures.com, LLC, based in Lakewood, Colorado. He specializes in natural fractures, fractured reservoir characterization, structural geology, earth stress analysis, borehole image log interpretation, and hot sedimentary aquifer geothermal energy.
Al has extensive experience working with oil & gas companies, environmental firms, and mining operations worldwide. His field experience includes remote and challenging environments including the Amazon basin, sub-Andes, North and South America, India, and Southeast Asia.
He holds a PhD in geoscience and MS and BS degrees in geology. Al has published research on fluid-driven fracture propagation, fracture mechanics, fractured reservoir analysis, passive seismic imaging, and generating geothermal electricity from hot sedimentary aquifers. He holds a patent on passive seismic imaging and another on reflection seismic attributes.
